1 The operating time is the sum of the pre-arcing time and the arcing time. |2 When considered from point of view of the circuit protected by a fuse, the value of the Joule-integral over the operating time of the fuse is referred to a specific energy, i.e. the energy released as heat in 1 ohm of circuit resistance.
