Note
The change of state is not perfectly sharp, so the above definition may not give a value sufficiently defined for practical purposes. To get a more definite value, the graph of the square of the specific saturation magnetisation (i.e. sigma**2}) as a function of temperature should be extrapolated to sigma**2} = 0. The Curie point may then be taken as the point where this extrapolation meets the temperature axis.
